The great news is women have access to several PrEP medication options including convenient, once-daily oral pills. In addition to Truvada, women may now consider Descovy, which has been shown to be effective in women and is recommended by IAS-USA. Your licensed Q Care Plus provider will be able to discuss your PrEP options with you during your confidential, online visit.
PrEP injectable options like Yeztugo and Apretude are not available through telehealth at this time. Your provider can discuss both PrEP oral and injectable options during your visit.
PrEP is safe for women taking hormonal birth control including pills, patches, and most IUDs, and it does not interfere with birth control’s efficacy.
PrEP is also safe to take with:
