Q Care Link offers patients flexible and convenient care benefits like easy virtual provider visits, convenient at-home or in-person labs, and prescriptions delivered discreetly right to your door.
During your appointment with our team, you'll have a comprehensive discussion about your HIV history. We will schedule a virtual appointment with a carefully matched medical provider, and if necessary, will order labs.
Your assigned Q Care Link medical provider will thoroughly review your history, lab results, and medications, engaging in an informative discussion during your initial appointment.
Depending on your unique circumstances, your Q Care Link medical provider may request additional lab tests to tailor the best HIV treatment plan for you. If you have up-to-date labs taken within the last 6 months, additional testing may not be necessary.
Your prescribed medication(s) will be promptly delivered to your doorstep in discreet packaging by our trusted partner pharmacy*. Enjoy the convenience of fast and easy prescription delivery.
Rest assured that your dedicated Q Care Link medical provider will manage all aspects of your HIV care, including prescribing medication(s), coordinating lab tests as needed, and providing counseling and support to ensure your well-being.
We understand the significance of individualized care. That’s why each of our patients is paired with a dedicated member of our experienced medical team. Our Q Care Link team consists of clinicians certified by the American Academy of HIV Medicine, who together bring decades of expertise in providing exceptional care for individuals living with HIV.
When individuals living with HIV receive consistent, appropriate medical care and treatment, they can lead fulfilling lives characterized by good health.
Starting treatment promptly after an HIV diagnosis brings significant benefits. However, it's never too late to start.
U = U: Taking HIV medications as prescribed makes the virus undetectable in someone’s blood. When someone living with HIV reaches undetectable status, they cannot spread the virus to sexual partners. People living with HIV can enjoy sex without worrying about spreading virus to others.
Unlike the early days of HIV, today's HIV medications are accessible and highly effective. They typically involve minimal side effects and, in most cases, only require taking a single daily pill.
To determine eligibility, we engage in a confidential discussion with prospective patients about their health history, including their initial HIV diagnosis, ongoing treatment, and any coexisting medical conditions.
For prospective patients without recent labs (within the last 6 months), we will request new lab tests to confirm their current viral load and CD-4 (T cell) count.
If our HIV Care Coordinator or medical provider determines that our remote treatment model isn’t the optimal option, we will ensure they are connected to the necessary resources for an in-person treatment alternative.
Currently, the Q Care Link HIV program is available to patients with health insurance to cover lab tests and medication costs. If you don’t have current health insurance, rest assured that we can potentially connect you with resources to help you find coverage.
Medication & Consultations: For newly diagnosed HIV patients, we initiate treatment through Rapid ART (Antiretroviral Therapy). If you have been receiving treatment already, we review your health history and recent lab results to determine the most appropriate next steps.
While our patients have unlimited access to their HIV medical provider for any questions that arise, our providers proactively check in with each patient every three to six months. During these check-ins, they discuss crucial topics such as overall prognosis, lab results, treatment adherence, physical health and potential side effects, counseling on preventing transmission and achieving undetectable viral loads, disclosing status to partners and family members, as well as emotional well-being and additional support if needed.
Regular lab testing and medical review are vital components of HIV treatment. Our medical providers will order tests at a nearby lab for your convenience. The frequency of lab tests is determined by your medical provider and tailored to your individual health profile.
In addition to monitoring your CD-4 (T Cell) count and viral load, your provider may also order tests for sexually transmitted infections, kidney function, liver function, and other relevant health measures. Rest assured that these lab tests will be covered by your insurance plan.
Currently, the Q Care Link program is available to patients with active health insurance. If you don’t have health insurance, we can connect you with resources to help you find a local HIV care provider.
To determine your eligibility in the program, we will have a confidential discussion with you about your health history, your initial HIV diagnosis, ongoing treatment, and any coexisting medical conditions you may have. For some patients, in-person care may be a better option. If this is the case for you, we will connect you to in-person HIV care in your area.
Yes, we offer doxy-PEP and comprehensive sexual health counseling to patients enrolled in our HIV program. This includes quarterly (every three months) STI testing with convenient home test kits conveniently delivered to your door. We do not offer doxy-PEP as a stand-alone medication. You can only be prescribed doxy-PEP once you’ve started HIV or PrEP care with Q Care Plus / Q Care Link.
The Q Care Link HIV program is focused online HIV care. It is strongly recommended that you also have a primary care provider (PCP) so you can continue to access in-person healthcare services like vaccinations, sick visits, examinations, and to coordinate local referrals for cancer screenings.
Q Care Link is open to newly diagnosed patients and anyone already living with HIV for a longer time. If you have HIV but are not on medication to treat HIV right now, please alert our team when you sign up.
That’s ok. If you don’t have a copy of your last labs, we can order new bloodwork for you.
You can still enroll in our program. Please contact us right away so we can help!

By law, we must report new diagnoses of HIV to the local department of health. This is done to help end the spread of HIV by collecting data on new diagnoses. It is not meant as a punishment. Your information will be kept confidential. Your local department of health may offer you help finding care in your area, contacting past partners who need testing, or accessing other resources.
We do not offer Cabenuva or injectable HIV treatments at this time.
Your HIV visit is not billed to you or your insurance so there is no chance of copayments. Your insurance will be charged to fill medications at the pharmacy and to complete laboratory testing. To ensure we can keep your care as low-cost as possible, we work with patient assistance programs and local non-profit partners. Many times, this results in free care for our patients.
Our community-based organizations are unable to offer this program to uninsured patients at this time. However, we are diligently working on programs that will provide assistance in the future.
Certain insurances*, including some Medicaid plans, do not allow participation in our HIV care program. Please register on our platform and schedule an enrollment visit to find out if your insurance plan allows you to participate. If your plan does not allow you to participate, we can help you find local care options.
*Kaiser Permanente insurance plans are not able to participate with our program.
